This place really opened my eyes. I was really badly into my eating disorder and then once i got here I saw what ED was doing to me. And they have been helping me with relapse prevention. Some staff are helpful and really want to help you but most don’t care or try to make a connection with you.

ERC at Plano saved my family members life! Everyone from the nutritionists, therapists, nurses, & of course, Drs. Wooten & Setliff made us feel at ease from the first day.. Everyone was very professional, kind, and courteous. Although, I cant speak for everyone's experience, I believe some of the negative reviews that ERC has received, are based on \ED\ from their eating disorder speaking. We are forever grateful to ERC @ Plano!!
These guys are truly world class. I traveled 2,000 miles from Seattle to get my young daughter here, to save her life from a severe eating disorder, on the specific advice of some support groups about which facilities to seek out (and which to avoid), and I'm so glad I did. I'm an RN and know some of the things to look for, and these guys have blown me away with their expertise, communication, and commitment to take on my daughter's (admittedly very challenging) case. I'll be forever grateful. Dr Wooten and the entire team have a ton of experience and actually practice evidence based treatment, unlike many centers. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Absolutely horrified. The only solution they have for anxiety is sedation, which they often won’t tell you until you’ve taken the pill. Mocked in front of nurses, threatened (told that if they would lie to a judge to keep me there if I tried to sign my 72 hours), and belittled constantly, then gaslit in front of my parents. It’s been 8 months and I’m now in trauma therapy because I can barely think about Dr. Wooten without shaking and having an anxiety attack. Please, please don’t send your children here. Find another place — ERC Dallas only teaches you to fear food and eat under threat of never being allowed to leave, go outside, wear shoes, control your medicine, or see loved ones.
This place saved my life. The people were great and I made life long friends in ERC. They taught me that I’m not defined by my body and I am worth more than my physical appearance. It’s been a year and I would never be where I am without them. Thank you ERC!
